Ambassador of Egypt to China Khaled A. F. Nazmy Visited Fenghai Company for Inspection Tour
On September 28-29, a delegation led by Khaled A. F. Nazmy, Ambassador of Egypt to China, visited Fenghai Company for an inspection tour. They were accompanied by Mr. Cui Hengrong, a leader of Dafeng District, together with Ms. Kong Qingyun, Chairwoman of Fenghai Company, and other company executives.
Nazmy visited the company’s 10,000 m³/d new energy seawater desalination demonstration project showroom, equipment workshop, containerized new energy seawater desalination equipment commissioning base and membrane R&D manufacturing base. He received a comprehensive briefing on the company’s full chain business and the integrated application scenario of “New Energy +” integrated equipment, and was introduced to Fenghai “Belt and Road” foreign aid projects, domestic and overseas commercial projects, and future strategic plans. Nazmy remarked that through this field inspection, he gained a more thorough and in-depth understanding of Fenghai’s technological strengths and industrial layout, and expressed the hope that the visit would help further implement the strategic consensus reached by the two heads of state and actively promote pragmatic cooperation in the field of new energy seawater desalination.
During the visit, both parties held in-depth discussions on new energy seawater desalination projects and the localization of supply chain cooperation in Egypt. Ms. Kong Qingyun introduced the company’s founding background and development history, highlighting the core advantages of its desalination equipment, the latest achievements in domestic substitution of key components, and the global application cases of its products. Ambassador Nazmy noted that this visit was a concrete action to implement the request made by the Egyptian Prime Minister during his meeting with Fenghai Company in Tianjin. He emphasized Egypt’s urgent demand for seawater desalination projects and localized industrial development, and extended a sincere invitation to Fenghai to conduct an on-site study in Egypt, fully assess local resource conditions and policy environment, and prepare a high-quality cooperation plan tailored to Egypt’s national conditions and needs. He expressed hope that both sides would maintain close communication, accelerate the implementation of new energy seawater desalination projects, and jointly build a new model of pragmatic China-Egypt cooperation. Ms. Kong expressed gratitude for the invitation and affirmed that Fenghai would continue to strengthen exchanges with Egypt, jointly advance the high-quality implementation of new energy desalination projects, support the deepening of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Egypt, and contribute to the celebration of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties in 2026.
