Fenghai Company Visited Egyptian Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities

On October 22, General Manager Assistant Wu Kailong led a Fenghai delegation to meet with Deputy Minister Ismail of Egypt’s Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities. The two sides held in-depth discussions on jointly developing new energy seawater desalination projects in Egypt, with representatives from the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater (HCWW).

Deputy Minister Ismail warmly welcomed the visit and expressed his expectation to advance concrete cooperation based on the important consensus reached by the heads of state of both countries. Wu Kailong briefed the Deputy Minister on the company’s technological strengths and project experience in new energy seawater desalination. He also conveyed the key instructions delivered by the Egyptian Prime Minister during his meeting with Fenghai in Tianjin, as well as the recent visit of the Egyptian Ambassador to China to the company. Wu expressed Fenghai’s strong commitment to contributing to Egypt’s water resource development.

During the meeting, HCWW presented Egypt’s 2025–2050 Seawater Desalination Development Plan, outlining its strategic vision for integrating seawater desalination with renewable energy generation. Wu noted that Fenghai’s business roadmap aligns closely with Egypt’s medium- and long-term plans for desalination development. He added that the company will maintain close communication with the Egyptian side and provide practical and needs-based recommendations.

In addition, the delegation gained a deeper understanding of relevant Egyptian government policies and held productive exchanges on potential cooperation models and the next steps for project implementation.
