Minister Mahe of the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources of Vanuatu and His Delegation Visited Fenghai Company

On July 19, Minister Mahe of the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources of Vanuatu, together with his delegation, visited Fenghai Company for inspection and exchange. He was accompanied by officials from the Foreign Affairs Offices of Jiangsu Province and Yancheng City, leaders of Dafeng Port, as well as Ms. Kong Qingyun, Chairwoman of Fenghai Company, and other company executives.

The delegation toured Fenghai’s 10,000 m³/d new energy seawater desalination demonstration project showroom, as well as its desalination, bottling, and intelligent manufacturing workshops. They received a comprehensive briefing on the company’s domestic and international commercial projects, future development plans, R&D progress in desalination technology, and the integrated application of “New Energy+” systems. The delegation spoke highly of Fenghai’s technological capabilities and believed the solutions have broad application potential in Vanuatu.

The two sides also held a meeting for further exchange. During the discussion session, Minister Mahe praised the remarkable achievements Jiangsu Province has made in economic and social development and expressed a strong willingness to deepen cooperation. He noted that many islands in Vanuatu are facing severe freshwater shortages, and in some cities, seawater intrusion has led to excessive salinity in the water supply. He expressed hope that, through this visit, Vanuatu and Fenghai Company could strengthen technical exchange and cooperation, leveraging new energy-based seawater desalination technology to help solve the problem of clean water access for local communities. Ms. Kong Qingyun stated that Fenghai Company will make every effort to provide comprehensive support and services to help Vanuatu address its freshwater challenges, contributing to the improvement of local well-being and the advancement of green, sustainable development.
