During the investigation, Mr. Thoaam and his delegation first visited the exhibition hall of 10,000 m3/d new energy desalination project, desalination workshop, bottling workshop, and the commissioning base of new energy micro-grid desalination equipment to learn the technical level of new energy desalination equipment in detail, and the progress of Fenghai's "Belt and Road" projects and commercial projects at home and abroad as well as the strategic planning for future development. Mr. Thoaam highly affirmed Fenghai's project development, and expressed the hope to further advance the pragmatic cooperation with Fenghai company after this visit.

Subsequently, the two sides held an exchange symposium on topics especially deepening cooperation in the field of new energy. Mr. Jiang Dehong introduced the background of Fenghai's establishment and the strategic significance of the demonstration project to Mr. Thoaam and his delegation, focusing on the core advantages and technical level of new energy micro-grid and desalination equipment. He expressed the hope that with the successful experience of new energy desalination projects in the Maldives, Fenghai could continue to carry out multi-dimensional and deep-level cooperation with the Maldives in the field of new energy, and contribute to the green development of the Maldives. Mr. Thoaam appreciated the high standard, high quality and high efficiency of Chinese projects, and the successful launch of the China-aid new energy desalination project in Maldives has greatly improved the well-being of local people. He said that the advanced and reliable equipment and technology of Fenghai company are highly consistent with the livelihood policies of Maldives such as new energy power supply, clean drinking water supply and environmental protection, and will continue to strengthen the close collaboration with Fenghai company in the future to deepen friendly cooperation between two countries.

On July 11, the delegation of Mr. Thoaam also visited Nanjing to investigate the integrated energy supply service center, accompanied by Ms. Kong Qingyun. The center is mainly based on electric energy supply, while flexibly accepts a variety of renewable energy sources such as solar, wind and geothermal energy, and configure suitable energy systems considering the resource advantages of the region, so as to provide economic, green, safe and intelligent energy supply. Mr. Thoaam said that the concept of integrated energy supply is highly in line with the renewable energy development strategy of Maldives, and looks forward to strengthening exchanges with China to explore the possibility of copying integrated energy supply mode to the Maldives to boost the sustainable development of the Maldives.

The visit of the Ministry of Construction and Infrastructure of Maldives is an enhancement of China-Maldives cooperation in new energy desalination after receiving the Ministry of Environment and Energy in 2016, and it is also a sound testament of the demonstration effect of new energy desalination projects in the Maldives. On the way forward, Fenghai will continue to act and forge ahead with high standards, sustainability, and benefiting the people as its goal, write new "Belt and Road" stories in the field of new energy desalination, and contribute Chinese wisdom and Chinese strength in resolving the worldwide problem of electricity and water shortage!
